FAQ

Direct answers about the product, the beta and the boundaries.

If a question changes what you should expect from TRENIC, the answer belongs in the open.

Product

What TRENIC is

What is TRENIC?

TRENIC is a UK-focused financial record-keeping and compliance-readiness product designed to organise business records, supporting evidence and review context.

Is TRENIC only an expense tracker?

No. Expense records are one part of the product model, alongside income, invoices, evidence, review context and organised handover.

Does TRENIC make the final accounting or tax decision automatically?

No. Assisted extraction or classification can help organise information, but it does not become final professional or regulatory authority by itself.

Current beta

Where the public beta starts

Who is the restricted beta for?

The current public beta is focused on UK sole traders / self-employed users, cash basis, GBP and non-VAT circumstances.

Does the beta support every UK business type?

No. Wider business structures are part of TRENIC's longer-term product direction but are not presented as current-beta support.

Is direct HMRC filing live?

Direct HMRC filing is not offered as part of the current public beta.

Evidence & review

How records stay explainable

Why does TRENIC emphasise evidence?

A business record is easier to review when its receipt or supporting document and business purpose remain connected to the entry.

What happens if information is uncertain?

Missing evidence or incomplete context can remain visible for review instead of being hidden behind a final-looking status.

Can a receipt decide the tax treatment?

No. A document can support the facts of a purchase while other information or professional judgement may still be needed.

Trust

Roles that remain separate

Is TRENIC an accountant or tax adviser?

No. TRENIC supports record organisation and review. It does not replace qualified professional advice or judgement.

Is TRENIC part of HMRC?

No. TRENIC is independent from HM Revenue & Customs and is operated by TRENIC TECH LTD.

Is TRENIC a bank?

No. The current public site does not claim banking status, live Open Banking or automatic reconciliation.

Pricing

What happens after beta

Will TRENIC have paid plans?

TRENIC is expected to introduce paid plans after beta. Pricing and paid-plan terms will be shown before a paid plan is offered.

Will a beta request automatically become a paid subscription?

No. Requesting beta access does not itself agree to future paid terms.
